Monster #23

So, it is true that Eva does indeed have some redeeming qualities left in her, though you wouldn’t know it from watching previous episodes. I still don’t care for her character at all, but I could relate to her longing for Kenzo…for companionship. I think the episode does a good job of showing that she isn’t all that bad…though I still wouldn’t trust her if my life depended on it. If she didn’t have to be so desperate for attention (or other things) all the time, she wouldn’t be so disliked by everyone. Doesn’t she notice how people treat her? As soon as they see her coming, they turn the other way in disgust. It’s a direct response to how she’s been treating others. Look at how she treated Kenzo’s date - who would ever want someone like her? Her stalking is creepy enough and would easily drive anyone away. It’s sad that without her money, she has absolutely nothing in her life and nobody to turn to for help. I especially think it’s tragic that she’s stooped so low in her life that she is willing to sell her body for money. Eva isn’t entirely a bad person, but she represents a lot of people who are filled with emptiness because of the bad choices they’ve made in life.

Oh, and we finally get to see Johan again, although very briefly. Just what is he up to?
