Trinity Blood #06

It’s been forever since I’ve blogged anything about Trinity Blood, and I have to admit that I’ve forgotten much of what has happened due to the fact that I last watched this show eight months ago. As expected, the first five minutes of this episode are a bit confusing to me since I really don’t have any clue as to what’s happening. All I can tell so far is that Lord Memerink has drained the blood of clergymen as well as a parish priest in a church, and the only witness to this incident is Sister Agnes who has managed to stay alive throughout this ordeal. However, she seems to have had a memory lapse and can’t remember that frightful incident from that evening. This causes quite a dilemma for her when a hostile vampire approaches her at night and tries to kidnap her, but he doesn’t get away with his improper actions and is quickly killed by a mysterious man who is surprisingly much faster and stronger than this dead Metoselah. After waking up from a disturbing dream about her father being a blood-sucking vampire, she pays a visit to the church the following morning and is surprised to meet her rescuer, a sexy man named Hugue who happens to be a traveling priest. He finds out that the vampire he had murdered is Peter van der Werf, Karel van der Werf’s younger brother, and that these vampires have been trying to find the culprit of the church murders as well. Trouble arises when Sister Agnes is captured by Karel’s underlings and is taken to their headquartiers where she is forced to relive her memories from that incident. Karel is able to find out through Agnes’ memories that the murderer is none other than one of his own. As for Hugue, he’s paying the ultimate price for murdering Karel’s brother by having to fight in an arena against a dark and menacing beast. Sister Agnes learns that he is an assassin for the Vatican, but he hasn’t done anything to her and decides to help him out by throwing his staff down to him. Unfortunately, Karel doesn’t take well to her actions and brutally stabs her in the abdomen for helping out his prisoner. This allows Hugue to destroy the beast as well as eliminating the entire Amsterdam vampire clan, leaving only their lifeless bodies behind as evidence of their existence. Sister Agnes returns to her normal life thanks to Hugue, but she’ll never get to thank him properly now that he’s long gone to his next assignment. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this episode even though it was another filler, and it was such an improvement from the previous episode. We didn’t get to see Abel this time around, but the arrival of Hugue more than makes up for his absence. I can’t see Hugue as being just a normal Terran since he has an incredible amount of speed and strength, but we’ll never know unless we get to learn more about his character. I hope we’ll get to see more of him in future episodes. :)

  • OK for honest, this episode seems likely to throw the most avid TBA fan (ie me). Three things I can note after watching:
    1. Hugue (aka Sworddancer) is hot.
    2. His overreactions are an understatement (hello? massacre of several methuselah???!?!??!?)
    3. Hugue (aka Sworddancer) is hot.

So to reiterate… Hugue is hot, and although this series leaves alot to be desired in the way of a nice pretty finished plot, at least it provides eyecandy (with more story than say Meine Liebe).

I’d like to finish off with my main point: Hugue is hot. LOL. PS I’m baaaaack. lol.

  • Looks like nothing’s changed. :P
