Just as it came as a surprise for us to see Talho’s “old” look for the first time, Matthieu and Hilda are just as shocked to see her dressing like her old self again. Matthieu even humorously remarks that she’s been dumped by Holland, but he gets a pretty good slap in the face for his brash comment since they both know that Holland wouldn’t dump her without a good reason. Not surprisingly, Talho’s uncomfortable about everyone looking at her like she’s some wild animal, but it’s hard not to notice her considering that she’s changed back to her old self on such short notice. I’m still wondering why she felt the need to change her appearance in the first place, but I think that her relationship with Holland is even stronger now that she’s free to be herself. Renton and Eureka are once again on great terms with each other, and it’s so adorable seeing them together now that they’re past that shy touchy-feely state. Renton reminds me of Charles more and more every day, and it’s touching to see him embracing her with such warmth. Eureka admits that she’s able to forget about her bloody past whenever she’s with him, but she still feels terrible about tainting his hands with blood as well. However, he isn’t concerned about the past and appreciates every waking moment with her. Renton is truly hilarious as he puckers up his lips to kiss her, but she ruins the moment by avoiding his lips and announces that the Nirvash is upset. Poor Renton is rejected once again! However, it turns out that she wasn’t kidding and the Nirvash really was having a temper tantrum because she wanted to be accepted as her new self instead of having to revert back to her original form.

We’re introduced to a new character, Doctor Bear or Greg Egan, to help rebuild the Nirvash’s outer armor. He thinks that Eureka herself may be a message from the Scab Coral, but since she doesn’t know anything about its history or whether it’s even a living entity, it makes him think that it’s up to humanity to find out the message they’re trying to send us. He feels that their approach to repairing the Nirvash is all wrong and believes that the most fitting shape for her is a high-speed plane form since she really wants to fly. The interior of the Nirvash is taking shape, however, and Eureka is certain that she’s a happy child with her new additions. Much to Renton’s surprise, he sees his Grandpa working on a new board for the Nirvash since he’s the best of the best in that department, and I’m curious about how Renton will react when he finds out that his “friend” Dominic had paid a visit to his Grandpa’s garage. We finally get to see Dominic in his military uniform again, but it doesn’t look like he’s as enthused as he once was in the past. Anemone is just as bratty as always and is in the midst of poking fun at Dominic when she’s suddenly paralyzed by fear as she senses something very ominous and dangerous approaching. Eureka senses it as well, and it’s understandable why they’re both frightened. Earlier, Dewey had revealed his plan to destroy all Corelians since he believed that they were planning on exterminating humanity as a whole. However, he failed to point out that it had been his idea in the first place to release them and send them out into the world. Just as he had planned, millions of smaller Coralians had taken over Feres City and immediately began annihilating its inhabitants. I’m guessing that this was his first step in acheiving supremacy of the world by starting a second Summer of Love. Holland has realized that the “true awakening” has finally begun and knows that it’s necessary for the Nirvash to receives its upgrades as soon as possible. I can’t wait to see what’ll happen next.
This post really sucks since I’m sick as a dog right now, so please visit KT’s site and read his review. Trust me, it’s much better.

Oh come on, your post doesn’t suck XD… But anyway, I can’t wait till we release the next few episodes, since they get pretty exciting!
Get well soon!~
Good episode this. Talho’s new look doesn’t seem as unappealling as it did in the previous episode, I think it’s growing on me too. The whole scene with the Coralians was…interesting, shall we say. Makes me wonder what they put in the water down in the art department!
kawaii i not posting thing i found anymore.i just fig. out why holand in all his after remark to renton.from things he did.in eps.1 grandfarther said to him i promise your mother i will take care of you.that holand is his uncle and renton mother are brother and sister.this is how the blood line match comes from.maybe his mother died when he was born?about twin brother that part is still unclear the only idea comes from ep.19 acperance 2.when renton became zero 2 to protect eureka for the end at the house in his dreams
the actions that dewey is doing reminds of what hitler did to the jews in ww2.what a sad note to say.:sad:if you are tring to make out what i ment .holand and renton mother are brother and sister.and eureka said to renton about touching him more it helps me to forget the blood on her hands and putting blood on his.about eps 32 and 33 I NOT TELLING ANYTHING the cretures are more like wepons that kill
silverfire - I can’t wait to watch the next few episodes!
Hopefully, I won’t be stuffed up and half asleep on Nyquil on my next post, lol.
Renji - Yes, I’m definitely getting used to Talho’s skin-tight uniform, and her haircut isn’t as bad as the last episode. It seems like her bangs grew a little longer, so it looks better this time.
I didn’t think Coralians would take the form of flying eyeballs and other strange shapes. I also don’t understand why it was necessary for them to kill all those people unless they were instructed to do so. I’m so confused.
toniblab - Hmmm…so you think Holland is Renton’s uncle? I don’t know. It seems too weird since it seems like he was romantically involved with Dianne in the past. You also thik that Renton’s mother is really his brother and sister? I’m not saying you’re wrong, but that’s something I’ve never thought of. I still believe that Dominic could be his brother. It’s just a guess, though.
I thought it was pretty funny that the first shot we see in the Gekko-Go this episode is a centered close up of Talho’s crotch. Pretty amusing given Kawaii’s nun commentary.
Dewey needs a haircut; the one he’s got right now looks like something he got from the institution (although I think our first introduction of Dewey was a haircut, strangely). The asymmetry of his bangs bothers me. His actions thus far really scream “put me back in the crazyhouse.” Shooting down a lady with a compac drive is pretty cold, unfortunately its impossible to tell if it was the same one talking with the sage earlier. I think there’s a couple reasons for choosing 8 year old children as the Ageha squad.
Firstly, they were all born after the Seven Swell, which probably has as much significance in E7 as being born after Second Impact or whatever did in NGE. Secondly, it is easy to manipulate the children into doing cruel things. Partly because they don’t understand the rammifications (Ender’s Game is a sci-fi book discussing the use of children in directing massive military operations) and because they’re often cruel to one another. Children can be outright bastards to other people and animals. I’d expect Dewey to pull a line from Ender’s Game along the lines of “no adult is capable of doing what is nessecary to defeat the enemy.”
I don’t think there’s a very good parallel between what Dewey’s doing and the Jews, but his philosophy is pretty much the same. They both viewed history as a series of conflicts of culture, with a single winner at the end. Or at least, the Dewey who spoke with the Sage appealed to that philosophy. He could be manipulating the Sages in a bid for power.
I don’t see Dominic being related to the Thurstons. Its possible that Holland and Renton are related given the blood type compatibility, but it would almost certainly be by Renton’s hereto unnammed mother. I think this is what Toni means: Adrock married Holland’s sister. I’ve heard something about Dewey that may allow me to connect some more dots, but I’ll leave that for when the subs reveal this. But watching ep 31 made it more clear that though there’s a something of a love triangle between Dominic, Anemone and Dewey, and that Dewey’s not interested in Anemone other than perhaps as a tool. I don’t think this sits well with Dominic and may well lead to a timely backstab. Hopefully Anemone doesn’t have to die before it happens.
A question I’m not able to guess about: what’s the phrase “Reclaim land and make a new path” from, and what does it mean?
jldugger - You always manage to blow me away with your insightful comments.
Well, I completely take my comment back about Talho dressing like a nun. I was highly mistaken about that, and this episode has clearly proven that with the obvious close-up of her crotch. I completely agree that it’s much easier to manipulate children since they’re unaware of any repercussions, and you are also right that they can be very cruel to other people - hence, they’re perfect “soldiers” for Dewey’s Ageha squad. There’s a possibility that Adrock could have married Holland’s sister, but that would then dispel any ideas that Diane and Holland were an item. Oh, I can definitely see Dominic doing something behind Dewey’s back to prevent Anemone from being used as a tool. It’s obvious that he’s already very protective of her.
I’m just as clueless or even more so than you are about the phrase that you mentioned, so your guess is as good as mine.
the idea about renton mom is holland sister came from the ep 1 when grandfarther bought renton a very nice meal.i have a fealing that the picture tells all!!it shows that diane likes her uncle holland just as much as her farther.i thing the reason for this is maybe that she died on them and grandfarther is total piss of with him.i am still tring to figger out the brother thing with renton.animone said twin brother ep 12??,later on renton counting on his fingers about brother.and talho said it’s is his brother.??i know of 3 times this is mention of brother.ep 19 talho said it as if the type zero was it and animone said it also.for me i need more info for this part like what happen to renton brother??
TV-14. Nothing that inappropriate.
eps. 32 will be a treat this eps was done by gainax the ones who did FLCL!!
holland is hidding a lot of infomation about renton & eureka .some thing come out by other ways.on renton. who is renton and his past family members??we heard nothing about his mother.very little on his farther his brother and his sister.all are dead now.most of the infomation on eureka is out now.there are parts we still need to know, her childhood and the military part.
i think this show is in line with the book series of belgrad by david eddings set in the future with small changes the key player as a young boy.a grandfarther the aunt part change to a uncle.they still travel around fight battles he gets his girl that he joins instead of her joining them.
It’s not Renton who has a brother but someone else… and for sure, Renton is NOT the son of Holland because he has memories of spending time with his father, the great something-Stone guy.
Man… this series gets BETTER and BETTER, I tell you. It has already replaced my best anime of all time: Witch Hunter Robin…
toniblab - I don’t think Diane is dead by any means. I just think she’s estranged herself from her family in order to live her own life. Her whereabouts, however, are still a mystery.
Jin - You’re right, Renton is most definitely not Holland’s son. Everybody already knows that he is Adrock’s son, much to Renton’s annoyance. Yes, I definitely agree that this series is getting better and better with each and every episode. Witch Hunter Robin is one of my favorite series as well! I absolutely love, love, love Amon.
kawaii on a japan site diane, holland and dewey is connected as one single line no other lines from or to any one.this became confusing now ???????????? himmmmmmmmmmmmmmm….!!i found this out after posting on your site thinking she was dead.i think the best part of ep 31 is when eureka and renton touch shouder to shouder for her moral suport.they are getting closer and closer to a kiss but they are always getting interuped by someone or something.
toniblab - Well, I think Renton needs to grow some balls and kiss her already. I don’t find any fault with Eureka’s reaction since human emotion is pretty new to her, but Renton doesn’t have any excuse. He’s what - 14 years old? He should be past that infantile stage already.
no kidding. he is way to shy for his age most kids do it at 10 to 12 years old.or even before that age
Its not like he hasn’t tried in the past, he’s just been humiliated so many times in the past. Not to mention they’re never alone together. We only need to remember the trip to the southern hemisphere. You could also take the psychological aspect of Renton and use that for his behavior, but I think he’s been presented thus far as a very well adjusted kid, for having a messiah figure for a father and a mysteriously dead mother. Seems though that a lot of anime’s have children with no fathers. Edward Elric knew his father (his brother barely remembered him). Shinji only met his father at the age of 14. I’m sure you can think of others. FLCL seems to be an amusing reversal of that trend, where his father is around but his mother is long gone.
I think 10 might be far too young to say “most kids” “do it,” where I’m hoping you mean kissing. Where I come from, even 12 is still elementary school. I think 14 is perhaps where most people begin to have that kind of emotional attachment and capability of expression. Perhaps gender plays a role here in both our behaviors and our perceptions of other’s behavior.
Oh, and I guess ep32 is out. Damn them for interrupting my midterm studies!
@kawaii - 32 is out
you know what to do ^_^
kawaii & kt kore silverfire has got ep 32 posted now on his site!!
Yes, thank you for another great episode! I shall proceed to download right now.
renton and eureka both had no parents around to help them out about it.so both have to relied on there own to find out what is to be done.i think this is why renton is so shy about it.eureka is more on a new human reponse to a new fealing.if you remember on eps.27 moondoggie told renton that eureka was alone in her life if you look at renton for the last 7 to 8 years he was too!
I had mixed feelings on this episode. I loved the glimpse into the other, more sinister side to the plot, and into Dewey’s machinations, but the exchanges between the Gekko-Go crew seemed a bit lame and boring by comparison.
Fortunately 32 is all goodness!
It’s taking me forever to write #32 because of this ridiculous cold! I can’t think!
(I have to admit that I’ve also been goofing off reading my manga - I can’t help it, my boyfriend’s away visiting his family and I need some form of stimulation while he’s away…)
Anyway, the post should be up soon.
good news i found the eureka seven art books vol 1 charater vol 2 machine large note book size.found them in japan from a good dealer they are not cheap!! they are 3 to 4 time book release price now.very limited production.high value in japan.he told me they sold out in japan book stores in a few days of release.they are a drawings of charaters in the first book in many views.the machine one has many extra views of the the end ,type zero ,gekko.
you will be 1 week behind in posting .my are you having a bad time with that cold.i hate colds when i get them they last for months.
toniblab - My cold is slowly getting better, but I’ve mainly been distracted by other things. I should have it up by tomorrow, though.
remember the bay area where charles and holland had there battle.chas said it really happen.and holland said only by fealings. that means there might be one more stage for this .that type zero, renton and eureka move as one.you can see this on some of the eps and later on ones.
Anemone and Eureka - are they human?
Are they related in similar states in a way?
i think renton might be crazy to like eureka now due to the new hairdo now she looks scary but still pretty
aifly - No they aren’t. I haven’t watched past #38 due to sheer procrastination, but I don’t think Eureka and Anemone are similar. Yes, they’re both Coralians, but I think Eureka has the ability to change whereas Anemone will always remain the same. That’s only a guess, though. I’m not really sure of anything.
Zayvier - I think that’s pretty vain not to like someone just because of their hair style, although I have to admit that I’m not very fond of it, either.
Thanks for the comments, by the way.
