Koshiro is still a very formidable opponent even with his blindness, and it’s amazing to watch him fight Hyouma. I particularly found it interesting when Hyouma tries to use his Doujutsu on Koshiro, but soon discovers that it’s useless on him since he’s blind as well. Instead, he has to cover from Koshiro’s deadly decapitating wind and ends up with a bloody ear (I’ve had nasty ear infections before, so that particular scene makes me cringe). Clearly, neither of them are held back by what others may consider a weakness, and it does make the fight quite a bit more challenging since they’re both relying heavily on their other senses. Hyouma makes the mistake of underestimating Koshiro and dies while standing from Koshiro’s deadly wind…
We find out in a flashback that Hyouma is Gennosuke’s uncle surprisingly, and is instructed by Danjou-sama to teach him his Doujutsu. He trains the young and impatient Gennosuke to rely on his five senses with a blindfold in case his eyes one day become incapacitated, but Gennosuke is not happy about this seemingly pointless exercise and wants to learn the Doujutsu NOW. He ends up tripping over rocks, running into fallen trees, and almost completely falls off the edge of a steep cliff before he finally learns the value of the exercise. Hyouma tells him that the secret to his art is the law of all living things, but Gennosuke still doesn’t quite understand. However, he proves his potential to become strong when he is confronted by an angry beast and uses Doujutsu for the first time to scare it away. This prompts his newfound willingness to learn and takes the initiative to continue building his five senses until he no longer has the necessity to rely on his eyesight.
Back in the present, Gennosuke senses Hyouma’s unfortunate death. It’s always sad to see a likeable character dying in this show, but not the least bit surprising. I have to admit, though, that I’m glad that Koshiro is still alive, although I’m not too sure how happy he’ll be in the long run. Surviving with a broken heart is not what I consider living. Looking forward to the next episode.

i feel sorry for hyouma
So do I! He’s such a good guy, and I didn’t want to see him die. However, I like Koshiro as well, and I think both of them together could’ve made a great team if only the stupid legacy of hatred between their two clans never existed.
Just wondering, I have started collecting this series. (Basilisk) And was wondering if there are any nude scenes in it, I saw the pictures on this site for it an was just wondering, cause I’m more of an action fan and anime porn is well…
Shadow Kin:twisted:
No, there aren’t any nude scenes in this anime, as it isn’t a hentai series. There are some scenes that suggest rape, but you don’t actually see anything that would be overly offensive. You will definitely enjoy the series, so go ahead and watch all twenty four episodes.
Thanks a lot Maya!
I was hoping for just that, I can’t stand stuff like hentai, I’m 23 an it just bugs me in a weird way. Also I will be getting the rest of the series now, for sure. And another thing, The main guy on the Kouga side is he the strongest fighter or who is…?
Thanks!
Shadow Kin
I don’t know…I kind of lost interest after the deah of Okoi…After that it was more of a I sneak up and kill you sort of thing.
Shadow Kin - I believe that Gennosuke is the strongest in Kouga, and I’m glad that he actually lives up to his title as a leader as opposesd to Oboro who never asked nor wanted to be the leader of her clan.
Sam C - Yeah, that’s what the majority of the show is about, and it’s really tragic because I felt that all their deaths could’ve been prevented if they had only known the truth. It’s too close to reality…
I was actually pleasantly surprised to see them kill Okoi off so early in the series. Not that I really wanted her to die, but her “home-grown, tomboy, easily-relatable” persona is such a staple in cinema that I was expecting her to predictably be a major character and last aaalllll the way ’til the end. So you can imagine how much of a shock it was when she died so suddenly, and it gave the show a sense of urgency and unexpectedness - you really didn’t know what was going to happen!
It was kind of the same thing with Yashamaru.. although I was hoping he’d live a little longer,.
P.S. And yeah, it was really sad when Hyouma died,. And I REALLY liked him and Koshiro BOTH!! The more the show goes on, the more each death stings.
Cute, well endowed, scantily clad females die too soon, and I loose interest in an anime very quickly. Call it shallow, but thats just how it is.
lol you are sublimely vicious..I loved Okoi and it hurt my heart.I actually find the tomboy character not so atypical in most large eyed fluttery anime heroin driven series.I wanted her to get some vindication, it was well done ..but pleasantly surprised..you are dark
