Beck #18

The guys perform at the Marquee, a popular hot spot for great bands, but Koyuki’s so nervous that all he hears is his beating heart beat. He ends up breaking his guitar string at the very beginning, but he still manages to perform well and leaves a lasting impression with the guys at the Marquee. Later on that evening, he composes a song and records it for Ryuusuke to listen, but he thinks it sucks. However, Koyuki surprises him with two other songs, and he admittedly tells him that he’s always surprised by his talent. Ryuusuke takes it up a notch and adds his own personalized sound to it.

Koyuki’s teaching Hiromi to play the guitar, and as he’s doing so he remembers his lessons with Saitou-san and can’t believe how far he’s gone within the past year. It looks like Maho’s history, though, now that she’s chosen to stay chummy with Yoshito. She’s busy getting to know his agent well, and maybe she wants to further her career instead of staying on the sidelines.

Ryuusuke gets awoken in the middle of the night by a helicopter, and he seems to know that it has something to do with Lucille. He’s also shocked to find out that their band name in America has been changed to Mongolian Chop Squad.

Another great episode! I’m starting to like Hiromi a lot more than Maho because she seems more honest with her feelings, and she’s not moody and grumpy. You know what she’s feeling, and her personality is well-suited for Koyuki’s tastes. :)
