NANA.
How does Hachi have the strength to wake up to an empty bed every morning without feeling like she’s been left behind by the very person who claims to love her? Why isn’t she full of jealousy knowing that he’s probably out banging a better looking chick who doesn’t deserve his affection? And why is she completely okay with being left all alone?!!! It’s frustrating knowing that women willingly put up with this crap in order to have a false sense of security that at least they’re with someone. For once, I don’t want to see a happy ending. I’m tired of those picture-perfect stories where the main characters fall happily ever after in love since that NEVER happens in real life. Reality is all about pain and suffering and whether we adapt to the changes in life. If this is going to be a real-life drama, then it should end realistically as well - in disaster, where nobody ends up with the person they’re destined to be with. That’s reality.

Monster.

What begins as a pretty ordinary episode ends up being another one of my favorites, and it’s easy to forget that Kenzo’s a doctor since he’s so busy playing detective now that he’s tracking down Johan’s whereabouts. He finally runs into Lunge (or Runge – depending on which subs you prefer), and it’s great watching him outsmart the crazy detective with the photographic mind. You can’t help but kind of like the guy even though he’s a bit of a creep and has this unhealthy obsession with Kenzo. He’s finally found his match, and the fact that capturing him isn’t easy excites this loony toon to no end.

At least Nana’s finally realizing that practically everyone involved in her life are idiots. Nobu’s a perfect example of what not to do. He’s busy going after Miu now that Hachi’s no longer within reach, and I believe that he’d actually get along with her if not for the fact that she’s so much more than he could ever handle. She’s complicated and moody, and he doesn’t want any more complications in his life since he needs someone as simple as him. Besides, she’ll end up with someone more distinguished anyway, so I’m not worried about her. I do feel slightly bad for Nobu though since he is a nice guy and is constantly chasing after women who aren’t really all that great - when in actuality all he really wants is the love of his life back in his arms.

Misc.

For the past few days, my site has had to stay out of the game of spammer tag for a time-out due to bad behavior…or in the eyes of my host, too much traffic generated to this site. Huh? Isn’t that the whole purpose of having a blog – to generate lots and lots of visitors? o_0 If the host can’t handle the heat, then maybe I should consider moving this blog to another host than can actually handle the amount of traffic coming to this site. Well, I learned two very important things from this small hiccup: Always back up your site. It only takes a few minutes, and it’ll save you a day of headaches. Another thing I learned, and this hit me like a ton of bricks, is that I can never really walk away from this blog. There were times that I thought about committing blogger suicide and walking away from it all, but when my site actually went down I really missed the fact that I couldn’t interact with any of you. I’m not the most active or social blogger out there since I have a quiet personality in real life as well, but I’ve learned that I want to keep doing this since it’s one of the few activities that keep me happy. So, I’m here to stay for the long haul (as long as my host allows me to, that is!)
Edit: I apologize if I sound arrogant here. If you knew me in real life, you’d know that I detest arrogant and obnoxious people like the plague (humility is always the way to go), so any similarity is purely coincidental and not intended.

Monster.

Another minor character comes to life as we learn about his troubled past and how it eventually comes to haunt him in the present. Michael, the main character in this story, learns this lesson the hard way with tragic results. He finally redeems himself at the very end, but at the cost of something very dear to him. It may seem boring to do the right thing and follow laws, but at least you’ll be able to live your life without much trouble in the long run. Also, in case you’re wondering, one of the biggest reasons I had a yearning to visit Europe (Germany in particular) was because of this very show and the places mentioned in this series. It’s nice to finally recognize some of the locations and refer to them from my memories.
