Hundred Stories #01

Aside from the few shows that I’ve been watching lately, there really hasn’t been anything that I’ve really felt like blogging or watching for that matter. I’m quite aware of the massive backlog of posts that seem to be growing daily, but it’s exhaustive just thinking about it so I’ll choose to ignore it for now. Really, I’m just in dire need of finding something to remind me of why I began blogging in the first place, and that is to have fun (which I honestly haven’t had much of lately). As a result, I’ve been going through my DVD collection and finally found something worthy of blogging: Hundred Stories (also known as Requiem from the Darkness). I’ve been looking forward to blogging this title for a while now, so I’m glad that I’m finally getting around to working on it. Actually, I would’ve loved to continue blogging Monster (which is an excellent show if you haven’t already discovered), but for the life of me I can’t seem to find my disc since I can be a little disorganized at times, so it’ll just have to wait until it finds its way back home.

NANA #35

This show really is getting harder to blog since we’re basically covering material that is my least favorite part of the story. I just got tired of the same old drudgery of having to watch these characters sulk around like it’s the end of the world, and I almost feel like telling them to take a step back and enjoy the roses because life isn’t as bleak as they believe it to be. Falling out of love really sucks, but there are so many other things to life than just sucky relationships. I’m really glad that I don’t have to live in their world because I’d probably be a train wreck by now. Hachi could’ve prevented all of her problems if she hadn’t been so irresponsible with Takumi in the first place, and Reira should’ve forgotten about him a long time ago. She already has adorable Shin to keep her warm at night, so what more does that girl need?

NANA #34

I figured that since this an anime blog and not some random personal space to divulge the most off-topic post ever, it’s best just to get off my lazy arse and actually write something semi-worthy here. That’s not to say that writing about my latest obsession isn’t interesting enough since I feel it is (why else would I bother writing it?), but for everyone else who isn’t remotely interested in my latest gaming obsessions, I shall bore you no more. Just as a warning though, my writing may be a bit rusty due to recent brain inactivity from playing the game too often…
