NANA #28

If I ever managed to find someone as amazing as Nobu, I’d run from a certain someone as far as possible toward a future with happiness and hope. I’m kind of ashamed to admit that it’s really hard talking about Hachi without sounding like a complete hypocrite because of certain circumstances that I’ll refrain from sharing here, but it’s so easy for us to judge and tell someone to simply leave a bad relationship since it’s easier said than done. However, I think in Hachi’s case it really is much easier for her to leave Takumi since she doesn’t live with him, and she hasn’t truly developed a genuine relationship with him. At least, that’s what I believe.

Vampire Knight - “Be Mine…Forever”

I can’t believe that it’s taken me so long to discover this succulent title, but it’s all thanks to Shojo Beat and VK Scans that that I’ve finally found something new to drool over. Ooohhhh my Lord, I haven’t been this turned on obsessed with a series in such a long time, and I can’t stop thinking about it. What makes this manga so amazingly addictive? Let’s see… Vampires? Check. Hot, seductive male vampires? Check. Romance? Check. Basically, everything that I find irresistibly tantalizing is included in this series, and I haven’t been able to resist from reading these luscious chapters. I can only speak for myself, but it is the ultimate sexual fantasy to be seduced, or even bitten, by a vampire. I don’t know how many evenings I’ve begged to have a vampire whisk into my life and take me away… Although I know that that’ll never happen within this lifetime, this manga does suffice as an alternative to satisfy my vampiric cravings. :D

Note: I’m a huge Yuuki x Zero fan, so the majority of what I write will be about this beautiful pairing. It could be a bit repetetive and even boring for those of you unfamiliar with the manga or those who obviously aren’t interested, but it’s basically structured to allow me to comment on how a particular scene made me feel at the time of reading it. This is not a review of the manga. Also, if you haven’t read past Chapter 23, I don’t suggest that you read further unless you don’t mind being spoiled.

Akuma de Sourou - Volume One (Manga)

There are people who might not even bother with this manga since it’s all been “done before” in other stories, but I enjoy reading a good story no matter how many times it’s been rehashed, and I won’t be so prejudiced as to skip something just because it isn’t entirely original. I’ll read something as long as it sustains my interest, and this title definitely managed to keep me up in the wee hours of the morning until I couldn’t open my eyes anymore. Sure, it’s not the greatest story in the world and there are definitely moments in which it’s very predictable, but there are also some interesting twists and surprises that I didn’t expect, either. Mainly, I enjoyed it because it was a good read and it also didn’t help that I fell in love with Takeru by the end of the second chapter. :)
