Taking a Short Break

As if you haven’t already noticed, I’ve taken a short break from blogging and will be away for a little while longer. I am by no means quitting since I just renewed my domain a week ago, but I do need a short breather from writing. I have a lot of stuff going on in my life right now that I have to attend to, but rest assured it’s nothing bad or serious. I wish I could say that I won the lottery, but unfortunately that will probably never not happen within my lifetime. All right, I’ll admit it — I’ve been suckered back in to the world of gaming. I decided to play Guild Wars Nightfall during the preview weekend since it was free, and I have to say that I really enjoyed playing the game. Unlike Factions, it doesn’t look like it’s only geared toward Ascended characters. At least, the preview was fun this time around. I played one of the two new Professions, the Dervish, and I had a blast playing the game with this character. I’ll think about whether I’m going to buy the game or not, but I most likely will considering that I bought the other two games already. I’ve also been playing another game called Supreme Destiny for about a week now, and I’ve been having fun playing my level 21 Beastmaster (aka Druid). When he’s in Werewolf form, he’s a pretty formidable opponent and a lot faster than in human form. This game reminds me of Everquest in a way since you’re required to eat food to survive, except that it’s completely free to play. I will be returning as soon as I’m ready to continue blogging again, so don’t count me out just yet. :)

Monster #16-18

What I love about this show is that it’s not predictable like so many other shows I’ve been watching, and you never really know what’s going to happen next. You can predict all you want about what you think will happen, but after watching an episode or two you’ll find out that all of your guesses may most likely wrong or different from what you expected. As usual, Kenzo is faced with yet another puzzle that he must solve, and this time it’s more complicated than ever.

Monster #13-15

I’ve been meaning to continue watching/blogging this series, but it wasn’t until a friend had reminded me of just how awesome this title really is. Looking back at my older entries of Monster, I can see why I started blogging it in the first place. It has a very intriguing storyline with a group of dynamic characters, and here you have a central character that’s actually smart. However, the biggest decision of Kenzo’s life makes him the primary murder suspect of a string of murders he’s never even committed and an abrupt ending to an otherwise bright future as a surgeon - all because he had decided to save a little boy’s life. I’m not providing summaries - just my thoughts on these episodes.

Eureka Seven #40

Part of the reason I love this show is that it allows me to think about life even beyond our physical existence on this planet, and I’ve always felt that this creation is just a temporary place for us to learn our lessons in life. Similarly, Eureka ponders why beings exist in this world, and she’s concerned with the fact that she hasn’t found her place or purpose in this life, and it’s even caused her to question her own existence. It’s been bothering her so much that she’s practically isolated herself from those around her because she’s so afraid of confronting anyone who may think negatively of her. Unfortunately, I think she’ll have a lot more to worry about in years to come…

NANA #20

Yes, Hachi, Takumi is indeed a normal human being with needs and desires just like the rest us normal folk. Her reaction isn’t really weird considering that many of us picture our favorite celebrities as a special breed of humans without any flaws or imperfections, but she’s just a little strange in thinking that he doesn’t need to go to the bathroom at all. Oh well, must excuse Hachi. :P Oh, and there’s a little treat for those of us Nobu fans looking forward to a certain situation to occur…
