It’s been forever since I’ve blogged anything about Trinity Blood, and I have to admit that I’ve forgotten much of what has happened due to the fact that I last watched this show eight months ago. As expected, the first five minutes of this episode are a bit confusing to me since I really don’t have any clue as to what’s happening. All I can tell so far is that Lord Memerink has drained the blood of clergymen as well as a parish priest in a church, and the only witness to this incident is Sister Agnes who has managed to stay alive throughout this ordeal. However, she seems to have had a memory lapse and can’t remember that frightful incident from that evening. This causes quite a dilemma for her when a hostile vampire approaches her at night and tries to kidnap her, but he doesn’t get away with his improper actions and is quickly killed by a mysterious man who is surprisingly much faster and stronger than this dead Metoselah. After waking up from a disturbing dream about her father being a blood-sucking vampire, she pays a visit to the church the following morning and is surprised to meet her rescuer, a sexy man named Hugue who happens to be a traveling priest. He finds out that the vampire he had murdered is Peter van der Werf, Karel van der Werf’s younger brother, and that these vampires have been trying to find the culprit of the church murders as well. Trouble arises when Sister Agnes is captured by Karel’s underlings and is taken to their headquartiers where she is forced to relive her memories from that incident. Karel is able to find out through Agnes’ memories that the murderer is none other than one of his own. As for Hugue, he’s paying the ultimate price for murdering Karel’s brother by having to fight in an arena against a dark and menacing beast. Sister Agnes learns that he is an assassin for the Vatican, but he hasn’t done anything to her and decides to help him out by throwing his staff down to him. Unfortunately, Karel doesn’t take well to her actions and brutally stabs her in the abdomen for helping out his prisoner. This allows Hugue to destroy the beast as well as eliminating the entire Amsterdam vampire clan, leaving only their lifeless bodies behind as evidence of their existence. Sister Agnes returns to her normal life thanks to Hugue, but she’ll never get to thank him properly now that he’s long gone to his next assignment. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this episode even though it was another filler, and it was such an improvement from the previous episode. We didn’t get to see Abel this time around, but the arrival of Hugue more than makes up for his absence. I can’t see Hugue as being just a normal Terran since he has an incredible amount of speed and strength, but we’ll never know unless we get to learn more about his character. I hope we’ll get to see more of him in future episodes.

Many of you may know by now that I’m a sucker for MMORPGs, and I can’t seem to stay away from these types of games. Not surprisingly, I couldn’t resist the temptation to preview the new Guild Wars Factions game during this preview weekend. If you purchased the original Guild Wars, you’ll be able to preview the new game. The only drawback is that you’ll have to delete one of your characters since you’re still only allotted four characters per account. I had the opportunity to play the game this morning, and I have to admit that it didn’t excite me as much as I’d hoped it would. Basically, if you didn’t like the original game or got bored of it, you’ll be equally as bored with this new game. It’s essentially identical to the original with the exception of new terrain as well as two new professions – Ritualists and Assassins (Rogues for all you WoW people :)). The major drawback to this game is the fact that all quests and missions are instanced, so it makes it really boring even when playing with seven other people. One of the reasons WoW is such a fun game is the fact that you’re surrounded by many people (not just the players in your party), and it makes the game interesting (raids, for example – you can never do that in Guild Wars). I can understand that instancing eliminates the ability for parties to camp a particular spot and preventing others from completing their quests, and that’s one of the advantages that Guild Wars has. Additionally, if you don’t like dealing with people, this method of fighting in an instance (and with henchmen at that!) is perfect for those of you who prefer playing alone since you don’t have to communicate with anyone, and you can become the leader of your own team. I personally prefer to play with henchmen only because I often get interrupted during my gameplay by people around my house, and I don’t want to have to disappoint my party by ditching the scene. Plus, they’re much easier to control, and I generally don’t like being told what to do by others. I still have more exploring to do in this game since I’ve only completed half of the first quest, so I’ll reserve my final judgment when I’ve completed some quests along with two of the missions. Now, would I shell out $50.00 for this new game? I honestly don’t know if I would. I quit playing the original game for a few months due to boredom, and I’m afraid that this new game may follow the same path.
Dewey’s aspirations of world domination are under way now that he has attained the greatest weapons of mass destruction — the small-type Corelians to help him destroy everything that is deemed unworthy of existing on this planet. Now that he has succeeded in demolishing Feres City in just 1246 seconds, his eyes are now set on destroying Gremcow since his warped mind is convinced that a second round of mass genocide is necessary for the planet’s future. Eureka’s having a hard time accepting the grim reality that her own kind has destroyed an entire population of innocent civilians, but there’s nothing that she can do to improve this situation except to help the lucky few that have managed to escape. However, no matter how hard she tries to become human, she cannot escape the reality that she is not human and will never be seen as one as illustrated in this episode when she scares a little boy just by looking at him because of the identical eyes she has to the monsters that killed his parents. She completely loses it because of her insurmountable guilt over her past mistakes as well her guilt over this current situation, and it takes a hard slap in the face from Talho to calm her down. Ouch, that was harsh!
Grandpa Thurston is busy working extra long hours on the new board for the Nirvash, but an unexpected delay occurs when the military decides to pay an unwelcome visit to his garage. However, he doesn’t give them a chance to do anything to him or his garage. Not only does he knock the soldiers completely off their feet with the deafening screech coming from his mountain of speakers, but he also easily makes his way past their Humvees with the help of his buddy. Trouble arises when the cable that’s attached to the board refuses to release, forcing them to speed further and further toward the impending cliff. Although this situation is very troubling for him, he’s determined to deliver the board to Renton no matter what and sends it off in the right direction.

I’ll be upgrading Wordpress to 2.02, so you might encounter some errors during this process. Let’s hope this’ll work.
Edit: Yay, it worked! This update is apparently pretty important, so it is recommended for all Wordpress users to upgrade to 2.02 just to be on the safe side.
I have been suffering from writer’s block ever since I’ve had this nasty sinus head cold (I think I’ve been blowing out far too many brain cells, lol), so I’ve decided to blog something that’s fairly easy instead. Beware of the sloppy writing in this post. I promise I’ll work on my Eureka Seven entry when I’m feeling just a little better.
Yasuda-san is the helpless victim in this episode, and she is being bullied by a woman named Amiko Todaka-san whose husband runs a large branch office. Unfortunately, her daughter is being bullied at school as well and doesn’t know why everyone is so hostile toward her. Her husband’s having a hellish time at work as well and blames his wife for starting trouble with the boss’s wife even though she’s done nothing to cause this dilemma. As if that weren’t enough, Yasuda-san is accused of cheating on her husband with another man when in actuality she was attacked and possibly even raped by the man that Todaka-san had sent to attack her. Yasuda-san’s daughter doesn’t understand why her entire family is being victimized by Todoka-san, but she isn’t going allow it to continue any longer and summons Enma Ai to help her uncover past events that started this whole mess.
It all began when Yasuda-san was walking home with her daughter one day and she accidentally caught Todaka-san committing adultery with another man. As a result of this unfortunate sighting, Yasuda-san was black-mailed into taking photos of herself engaged in sexual positions with another man and was threatened by Todaka-san that if she ever told anyone about her infidelity, those photos would be released to her husband as a consequence. Ever since that day, she’s been harassed without any recourse. Unfortunately, someone had informed her husband about the false rumor, but instead of supporting his wife he decided to punish her with a beating even though she’s already suffered enough. Absolutely nobody believes in Yasuda-san’s innocence except for her daughter, so she knows what has to be done and decides to pull on the string to finalize the contract between her and Enma Ai.
Todaka-san doesn’t know what she’s in for when she invites Ichimoku inside her home and immediately begins seducing him with her body. However, she is horrified when she sees her angry husband peering down at her with disgust. She immediately tries to convince him that she was a victim in this situation, but he’s not stupid enough to fall for her lies. In an instant, she is surrounded by everyone in the community that once believed in her lies and now sees her for who she really is – the neighborhood slut. She doesn’t care much about what her neighbors think of her, but it breaks her heart to see her daughter peering down at her with such sadness in her eyes. However, it’s impossible to avoid the shame she’s brought onto her family. And with that, she is sent straight to Hell. This episode was fairly interesting because I felt that Yusuda-san’s daughter actually had a legitimate reason to call upon Enma Ai for help, and I’m glad that Yuria-chan didn’t get away from suffering the consequences of her actions. We also had a chance to see more of Ichimoku this time, and shirtless at that! No complaints here.
