Poor Shouko. She fell for the wrong man, and now she’s paying for it with her broken heart. I can’t respect a married man for cheating on his wife, and especially hurting the person he’s having the affair with. She should just dump the jerk and get on with her life. The only person who benefits from the relationship is him, anyway. She finally finds out who Radio Boy is, but we never get to see the complete profile of him. Her conversation with him is recorded on-air, and she finds out through faxes and forum messages that her show hasn’t gone unnoticed. It’s an especially touching moment when she realizes that her voice is indeed reaching out to many people, and her advice has helped some of her loyal listeners.
I really enjoyed watching Shouko’s story, particularly because of the mature theme and the fact that I’ve been in her situation before. Life is complicated, but we make it worse by making wrong decisions.

Although I didn’t find Gaara’s flashback of his childhood a very interesting read in the manga, I thought it was done pretty nicely in the anime. All this time, I thought Yashamaru was a woman. He didn’t look manly enough to be a man, but then again, neither did Kazuki from Get Backers. What’s up with Orochimaru’s grunting? It sounded awful. It was supposed to be a serious scene, but I couldn’t stop laughing. Thank you for the comic relief, Orochimaru! I love Gai-Sensei and his million-dollar smile. Whenever he’s in a scene, you know you’ll get lots of action as well as laughs. Gotta love that positive attitude of his!
Couldn’t they make Gaara look at least a little intimidating? He looked like he was trying to be scary, but it wasn’t happening. However, I have to admit that he was adorable as a little kid, and the voice acting was just superb.
Overall, I enjoyed this episode. As a sidenote, I noticed that the Seiyuu for Temari is none other than the voice actor for Edward from Full Metal Alchemist as well. Pretty cool.
Lesson learned - Never assume that you know what a person is thinking or feeling, because you’ll most likely end up being wrong. I’m glad Leo found out that his mom hadn’t really abandoned him. All this time, he hated her for abandoning him and his brother. I don’t dislike him for being spiteful toward his mother. His feelings were just, since he wasn’t told the truth about his mother’s condition in the first place.
I absolutely loved this episode in general. Scar-san and Al have good chemistry together, and I believe that they would make a great team. I was hoping that we would see more of Scar, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like he’ll be back for a while. I loved it when he told Al that he saw his invisible tears and that he was human. That was sweet and such a surprise, coming from someone whose demeanor is usually cool and distant.
Hope you enjoy viewing the screenshots. I could’ve added twelve more, but I decided to cut it down to six.

I felt compelled to read the newest chapter of Naruto Manga, and I’m glad that I did. I can’t believe who shows up to save Naruto! My initial reaction was that it couldn’t be him, but sure enough, it WAS him indeed. What an amazing and inspirational character he is. I can’t WAIT to read the next chapter. It looks like it’s going to be an amazing battle!

I liked this episode, but it wasn’t nearly as exciting as the previous episodes. The biggest disappointment was the animation itself. The characters weren’t very well drawn, and I would’ve liked to have seen Gaara looking at least a little scary. In many of the scenes, he just looked stupid. The best part of the episode was at the very end, when Naruto jumped in to help out Sasuke. I literally cheered and clapped (I know, I’m cheesy), and it was a pleasant surprise to see him.
It looks like the next episode will be dedicated to Gaara’s childhood flashback. I read it in the manga, and it didn’t particularly interest me. Hopefully, we’ll get to see at least part of the of the upcoming battle that I’m highly anticipating. Let’s just say that Sasuke will be soooo envious and jealous.
I miss the quality of NARA ANIMATION as seen in the previous episodes. Let’s hope that we’ll see the high quality animation again in the upcoming episodes.
