Aishiteruze Baby #13

Kippei's one lucky man...he never has a shortage of girls to 'play' around with... Yuzu's mom notices that her daughter's doing well without her...
Watching Yuzu from a distance makes her heart break... Kippei confronts his aunt Miyako about her disappearing act.
She sees Yuzu staring at her... Yuzu sees her mom for the first time since being left with Kippei...

Yuzu’s mom decides to visit her daughter’s kindergarten to see how she’s doing, and she starts crying at the sight of seeing Yuzu smiling and having fun with her classmates. She doesn’t want anyone to notice her, though, so she runs away as soon as one of the two instructors spot her staring at the children. Kippei decides to pick Yuzu up earlier than usual, but he’s sent out on a mission to find the stalker before he could take Yuzu home. He begins his search for the female stalker, but he coincidentally bumps into his aunt Miyako (Yuzu’s mom). He tells her that he’s been taking good care of her, and he assumes that she’s there to take Yuzu home with her. However, she tells him that she’s only there to see how Yuzu’s been doing, and he yells at her for being so negligent. She confesses to him that she had hit her once after her husband died, and she’s afraid that she might repeat the same mistake again. She tells Kippei not to let anyone, especially Yuzu, know that she was there, and he tells her before leaving that Yuzu will always be waiting for her to return.

He walks back to the school and informs the teachers that he hadn’t noticed anyone, but he leaves in a hurry with Yuzu in his arms toward the train in hopes of catching a glimpse of her mom. The train passes by them, and Yuzu sees her mom looking at her through the glass. Poor Yuzu…she acts brave in front of Kippei, but it’s obvious that seeing her mom has affected her. I love the relationship she’s built with Kippei, and it’s sad that they’ll have to go their separate ways one of these days. However, you never know…Yuzu might end up wanting to stay with Kippei instead of going back to her mom. Hmmm…that would be an interesting way to end the show…

Aishiteruze Baby #10

Yuzu's trying to learn how to fold cranes on her own.
Poor girl...

Kippei gets a scolding from his older sister about forgetting to pick Yuzuyu up from school, but he’s lucky that his adorable little cousin’s so forgiving. She’s more concerned about him teaching her to make a crane than about picking her up from school, but he lets her down again by making a floppy airplane instead of a crane. Now that he’s in love with Kokoro, Yuzu is the last thing on his mind, unfortunately.

The next day at school, Kokoro confesses to Kippei that her worries disappear when she’s with him, and they end up making out in the hallway. She lets his hand roam underneath her shirt, and he’s about to wander under her bra when her friends show up to ruin the moment. Honestly, I was hoping to see more…but anyway…

Noticing that Kippei wants to be with Kokoro rather than spend any time with her, Yuzu decides to walk home by herself instead of waiting for him. She’s disappointed that she no longer has Kippei’s undivided attention, but she doesn’t want to be a burden to him, either. He shows up early to pick her up from school, but she’s already left. It looks like the next episode will be devoted to finding her.

I feel really bad for Yuzuyu. She’s already lost her mother, and she’s quickly losing Kippei’s devotion as well. Stay strong for your adoring fans, Yuzu! We all love you! ^__^

I think I’m going to take a short break from watching Aishiteruze Baby. It’s the only show I’ve been watching lately, and I’m starting to get bored of it. Time to move onto the other shows I’ve been neglecting lately.

Kippei and Yuzu are so cute together. :) He's been rejected!
Kokoro-chan's been holding back her tears for too long...
This is what we've all been waiting for... Poor Yuzu, she's been forgotten...

Poor Kippei, he’s always being criticized for his bad cooking skills. Even sweet little Yuzu admits that his food is better than nothing. :)

Kokoro is forced to move out on her own, and she overhears her dad telling his fiancee that she’s always done things on her own, so he believes that she’ll be better off living by herself. I feel bad for her because she’s obviously been very lonely, and it doesn’t seem like her dad cares for her very much. IMHO, he’s just a self-centered jerk. Isn’t it his responsibility to ensure that she’s well taken care of since she’s still a minor? What kind of parent sends his child to live on her own, anyway? I don’t agree with his parenting ethics, but who am I to judge?

Later on that day, Kippei and Yuzu run into her while walking back from shopping at the market, and he’s surprised to find out that she’s moving into an expensive apartment complex since her family has the income to support her. He wants to help her unpack, but she tells him and Yuzu to go away. She returns to her room alone while he and Yuzu wait outside. He feels bad for her, but there’s nothing he can do if she doesn’t want his help.

Kippei makes a promise to Yuzu that he’ll help her make oragami cranes after school, but he oversleeps in the school hallway and rushes to the empty classroom to pick up his things when he notices that Kokoro is still there. She tries to leave abruptly after telling him that her mom died when she was six, but he stops her and she accidently drops her photo album, revealing a photo of her family when she was a child. She admits to him that she’s lonely living by herself, but she can’t tell that to her dad. He tells her that she’ll be okay, though, because she has her friends, and she’ll also have him as well. You’ve all watched this already, so you know the rest. I feel bad for Yuzuyu, though…he forgets all about her now that he’s occupied playing tonsil hockey with Kokoro-chan. She gets picked up late, but is surprised that it’s not Kippei, but someone else…

She's always skeptical about Kippei's parenting skills... She's looking at her letter but doesn't actually read it until later.
Poor Kippei, he's all alone without Yuzu. Memories of Yuzu and her mom.
Beautiful scenery She's finally read her letter...

I’m skipping over Episode #7 for the moment, but I’ll get back to it later. ^__^

Yuzuyu receives a letter from her mom, but she chooses not to recite it to Kippei, and it drives him nuts that he’s being kept in the dark about it. On their next day off from school, she goes out alone to meet with Ken-kun and Marika-chan, so Kippei is left with nothing to do but mope around and wait until she returns. We get to see Yuzu’s mother walking around aimlessly, but she stops in front of a teddy bear on display and reminisces over her memories of Yuzu. She runs away crying because it’s too painful for her to bear thinking about her.

After leaving Ken-kun’s house, Yuzuyu finds a place where she’s alone, and stops to read her mom’s letter. She finds out that her mom doesn’t want to see her again until she regains her strength. After finishing the letter, Yuzuyu makes a silent plea for her mom to return soon or else she’ll forget what she looks like. Awww…I feel bad for both her and her mother.

The next day at school, Kippei tells Kokoro-chan that she would make a good girlfriend for him, and even confesses to her that she’s cute when she smiles. Instead of slapping him (her usual response), she actually blushes. :) He asks her if she’ll date him, but her friends bonk him on the head and warn him that she’d be wasting her time with him. She receives a phone call from her father, and leaves the classroom. Kippei finds out from her friends that her father’s getting remarried and that she’ll probably have to live alone, since she doesn’t have a mother. Kippei’s left staring after her. I can’t *wait* to watch the next episode. :)

She's in puppy love with Kippei... Don't be sad, Yuzu!
Kokoro Yuzu and her mother
Kippei's cute here. :) She's sooooo adorable! :)
Bubble bath time. :) Yay, she's smiling!

After daydreaming about Kippei, her imaginary Prince, Marika-chan confronts Yuzu about wearing a different uniform and accuses her of being an Attention-grabber. She doesn’t know what that means, but she realizes that it’s not a compliment. Kippei, meanwhile, shops around for food, but finds himself at a loss in the meat aisle when he sees his younger brother Satsuki (I always thought he was a girl for some reason) and points him in the right direction of what to buy for making hamburgers. After their shopping excursion, both of them drop by the kindergarden to pick up Yuzuyu. Marika-chan goes ga-ga at the sight of him, but fumes when she sees Yuzuyu running up to him. It’s funny how things work out in this show. She bullies Yuzuyu at school, but it drives her nuts to see Yuzuyu with Kippei. It’s really cool when you think about it. Yuzuyu doesn’t have to do anything to get back at Marika-chan for all the insults she throws at her, since all she has to do is show up with Kippei, and that’s enough to make her insanely jealous. Ahhh…female rivalry over a boy…I remember those days. :)

After finding out that she was wearing an old uniform, Kippei and Reiko go shopping and buy her the school’s uniform. However, she comes down the next morning wearing her old uniform, which leaves the both of them feeling completely baffled. When he asks her why she continues wearing the old one, she simply refuses to answer. However, she later tells him that it was special to her because of several reasons — her mom had bought it for her, and she was also told to wear that uniform so that her mom would be able to find her from far away. Essentially, she didn’t want to take it off because she was afraid that her mom wouldn’t be able to find her. However, Kippei tells her that her mom would always remember her no matter what she wears and that she would always know where she was. The next day, Reiko comes home from work amazed to see that Yuzuyu is wearing the uniform that she had bought for her, and she can’t believe that Kippei was able to talk her into wearing her new uniform.

It seems like Kippei and Kokoro are finally starting to show signs of liking one another. He hints at liking a new girl, and you can tell that Kokoro’s hoping that he’s referring to her. I’ve read from other blogs that they do get together, but I’m curious to see exactly how. Ahhh, romance, my favorite genre. I’m looking forward to it. :)
